Cara Dee hit me with all the feels in this book. The strength of the emotions she elicited is nothing short of astounding. I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t walk away. I had to know what would happen.The character development in this book is flawless. I was completely invested in each character. I had already loved Colt and Lucas from their original story but Kit took it to a whole other level. It was impossible not to feel for Kit and to watch the journey between these three tore at my heart. The author’s secondary characters were so well done I’m already hoping they have books of their own. Cara Dee’s world building vividly painted a picture that made it all the more realistic.The storyline is gripping and it meant I needed extra coffee the day after because I wouldn’t go to bed without finishing. I laughed, I cried, and I was so completely engrossed that it felt jarring to come back to reality. I greatly respect how Cara Dee handles kink. The author showed that it’s more than just sex and I valued every moment of that. Though it’s clear the author does know how to bring hot scenes to life! This was such an emotional, fiery read.5 stars for a true journey and excellent kink. As this book could be read as a stand alone and I was so eager to read about the Daddies getting their boy, I started with this book first.Kit was so awkward, bratty and a darling, so desperate for a connection and affection it tugged on me, specially with his own self doubt and lack of worth.Lucas and Colt is two polar opposite Daddies, and just what Kit needs, the cuddles and being taken down when he looses control.I loved Colt and Kit's banter, and the way Colt kept him on his toes with little mind games.There was some discomfort with the Game scenes, mostly because I've read very little of primal or hunt kinks. Feeling the high along with Kit during the hunt then the crash and lingering implosion when Colt took him was enough that I didn't need any drama to happen.It was a rough scene that some might react to, but I can understand the need for it in the context it was set.I liked how they discovered Kit's kinks along with him, they never pushed and let him lead the way on most parts, always letting him see the effect he had on them. And the more he regressed to his natural self, the more I liked him.
